“Respond to the Call, Vote” There are over 100,000 Volunteer Firefighter’s and 30,000 Volunteer EMS personnel in the state of New York. This makes for a large voting block of folks that can make the difference in close elections from one part of the state to the other. We must register to vote and flex our political muscle. If we work together we can make the issues which are important to us, also important to those that work for us, our elected officials. We represent a combination of interests unique only to us. When you register to vote, you become part of a larger group with the same Firefighting and EMS concerns and interests. Together we can make our voices heard at the ballot box. We are at a very important time here in New York State. This year—2010-- every member of the legislature is up for re-election, not to mention the governorship and other state wide offices.
